Practical Information
What to bring
- Three sets of spare clothes.
- Rubber boots, waterproof trousers and slippers.
- Comfortable clothing and footwear that support independence.
- We recommend labelling clothing with your child’s name.
- For younger children, please bring nappies in the appropriate size.
- One favourite toy or comfort object.
Opening hours and arrival
Monday–Friday, 07:00–16:30.
Activities in both groups begin at 09:00, so we recommend arriving before 09:00.
We remain open throughout the year, including summer and school holidays. Closed on Slovenian public holidays.
Settling into Kindergarten
The adaptation process usually takes between three days and three weeks and is tailored to each child. We gradually extend attendance, with an emphasis on cooperation with parents, a predictable routine and calm, brief goodbyes.
We have also prepared a detailed example of the adaptation process for our younger Metuljčki group.
Your group’s notice board
The notice board outside each group’s room displays the group schedule, monthly plan, absence calendar and parent–teacher meeting schedule.
You can check the latest information, sign up for a meeting with the teachers and record your child’s absence there.
Talking with your child’s teacher
Individual meetings are arranged in advance. Monthly parent-teacher meetings take place on the first Thursday from 15:00. Sign up on the notice board.
English activities by group
Metuljčki (1–3 years)
English through play is an enrichment activity led by our teachers and included in the regular kindergarten programme.
Čebelice (3–6 years)
English is an optional activity taught by an instructor from Magistra Language School. The fee is €50 per month.
