Our Programme
Learning through play in a warm, supportive environment, with room to explore and grow.
Our educational programme follows the Slovenian national Kindergarten Curriculum (2025), complemented by selected elements of Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches.
Children learn through play, movement, exploration and creativity. We encourage independence, curiosity and cooperation.
The programme is delivered in Slovenian. We support children from different language backgrounds in learning the language and settling into kindergarten life.

Two Age Groups. Different Needs.
Little Butterflies (Metuljčki)
11 months–3 years
A safe, predictable environment, gentle settling in and first steps towards independence. We nurture language and movement through play, songs, books and everyday activities.
Little Bees (Čebelice)
3–6 years
Children learn to cooperate, express their thoughts and feelings, and choose activities independently. Through play, they explore, create and develop their curiosity.

Beyond the Classroom
Both groups spend plenty of time outdoors, enjoying walks, playing in parks and exploring Ljubljana. Visits to libraries, museums, theatres and Ljubljana Castle bring new experiences and discoveries beyond the classroom.
Along the way, children notice seasonal changes, ask questions and connect what they discover with everyday life. Shared outings also give them opportunities to practise cooperation, independence and consideration for others.

Gradual Adaptation
Settling into kindergarten usually takes between three days and three weeks, depending on each child’s needs and response. We gradually extend the time spent at kindergarten while working closely with parents. A consistent routine, predictability and a gentle approach help children develop a sense of safety, trust and belonging.
