Values

Respecting the child’s needs

The kindergarten is organized in a way that takes into account the needs and developmental characteristics of children, supporting their learning and well-being.

Cooperation with parents

Parents are crucial to their child’s upbringing, which is why we aim to engage their cooperation.

We pay special attention to a child’s integration into kindergarten, as it is an important event. Before the child starts attending, we talk with the parents about the child’s specific needs and encourage them to be involved in this transition. We also discuss the child’s health and other specific issues to ensure their well-being.

We also cooperate with parents in the following ways:

  • We inform parents about their child’s progress,
  • We organize discussions about the child’s development,
  • We present the children’s activities at the kindergarten to parents,
  • We hold parent-teacher meetings,
  • We organize lectures for parents led by renowned educators and other experts,
  • We encourage voluntary parental involvement in kindergarten activities (storytelling, sharing travel experiences, accompanying children on trips, etc.).
  • Development of knowledge and good relationships among employees

All employees understand that to perform our tasks well, we must maintain good and fair relationships with one another and engage in continuous education. Employees focus on self-development by attending new forms of training, staying updated with the latest literature, and participating in both Slovenian and international projects.

    Mission

  • We encourage observation, exploration, imagination, and creativity in children by providing opportunities to gain new experiences and discover the environment around us. We offer children a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and many opportunities for creative exploration, both in the kindergarten and in the natural environment.
  • We promote children’s development in language skills. We talk to the children, listen to them, read to them, and encourage them to create their own stories. We start developing their understanding and use of foreign languages early.
  • We foster the child’s social development, contributing to their self-confidence and ability to maintain good relationships with their surroundings. By socializing with peers, educators, parents, and others, we teach them appropriate forms of behavior, problem-solving, and task completion.
  • We develop the child’s sense of cooperation and group behavior. We use everyday social and other situations as learning opportunities to solve problems and conflicts.
  • We ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the groups and set developmentally appropriate boundaries and expectations for the children. We develop the children’s understanding of values and also educate ourselves to support this process.
  • Vision

In our kindergarten, we aim to nurture happy and healthy children, develop their creativity, and create an environment of understanding, tolerance, and friendship. We will provide children with a well-organized space and resources to help them acquire knowledge, considering their interests and encouraging their critical thinking. We will use methods that contribute to the individual development of each child, help them explore their environment, and foster their spontaneity and originality, especially in art, language, and literary activities.

We will involve parents as partners in the educational process, collaborating in content development and supporting their education.

We will enable employees to grow personally and professionally, as well as to engage in international cooperation.

Our vision is to become a kindergarten where children, parents, and educators feel comfortable, and to strive for fair and friendly relationships between all.
