Songs are used daily during transitions between activities. The educator does not need to explain what they want to achieve or what they are doing; they simply start singing. After a day or so, the children will join in both singing and imitating or acting out what the lyrics describe. We recommend singing songs every day, not just occasionally.
With carefully chosen lyrics, we help children through the steps of the daily routine. For example, through a song, we can gently announce that an activity is ending and that it’s time to start tidying up. Instead of words, which are often overused in daily life and not always noticed by children—especially words of direction and command—singing allows us to achieve our goal in a positive way. We practice listening, responsiveness, politeness toward others, strengthen respect for agreements, and ensure smoother transitions between activities.

Pozimi zunaj je hladno
Besedilo pesmi:
Pozimi zunaj je hladno, zato oblečem se skrbno.
Nataknem si kombinezon in naredim globok priklon.
Brž poiščem čevlja dva, si nataknem kar oba.
Oblečem bundo, jo zapnem in šal okrog vratu razpnem.
Glej, kapa je na glavi že in rokavici: ena, dve.
